Yesterday was a simply perfect day! Blue Springs was so beautiful. There were so many manatees and they were so close the the overlooks that we got some wonderful views of them! I wish I could post pictures today, but we took all film yesterday! :) Which I'm actually really excited about. It was the first time in years I have actually set out to take some great pictures! So I'm just hoping I got some :). I used 35mm and medium format, color and black and white. I just have to find a speciality photo place here that I can trust with my film. I really don't do well with letting other people process my film and print my photos! That's actually why it's been so long since I've gotten out there with my camera. So, when I have pictures, I'll scan them and show them off. :)

Happy Valentine's Day
Just wanted to say Happy Valentine's Day to all. Hope it's a great day for you!
I know I'm going to have a WONDERFUL day at work. We're doing some work but then watching some videos and having a little party to sugar up all my kiddos before sending them home. :) :) :)
The kids are so excited about today and it really is fun to see them all so happy! I hope you all have the same fun and excitement today!
I'm off work tomorrow for "Rodeo Day" which is much like "Fair Day" back in Sparta where they let all the kids out of school for the day so they can go to the county fair, and in this case, rodeo.
So, instead of the Rodeo, I'm going to Blue Springs Park to see the Manatees! :) I'm so looking forward to it. I've been wanting to get up there to see them all winter. Here's a little bit about the park, and why you can almost always see manatees there in the winter...
With the onset of cooler weather and lower water temperatures in the St Johns River; manatee sightings in and around Blue Spring are on the upswing. As we get further into the winter season, park visitors will be able to see manatees frequenting the Blue Spring run on almost a daily basis to stay warm. Temperatures in the spring run remain a constant 72 degrees; creating a safe haven for the West Indian Manatee.

A total bust!
I know I shouldn't be disappointed we didn't have bad weather...but I am. We had some heavy rain for about 10 minutes and that was ALL. No major storms, no wind, nothing at all. Oh well...just thought I'd update.

In for a rough night
Okay, okay, you know I'm obsessed with weather. Well, by the looks of it, I'm going to be quite entertained ALL night! So far we've had two questionable tornado situations and here's a lovely picture of the radar map.
That stuff back across the gulf is due to move across us also later on tonight! Oh, and weather alert radios are down in the midst of it all...
Ah, the fun is just getting started...
